Job Description

As part of our company, specialized in the distribution of high-tech machinery for stonework, the Installation and Service Technician will play a key role in the installation, training, and technical support for our Thibaut equipment across North America. This equipment includes advanced solutions for cutting, polishing, and milling natural and synthetic materials, such as our 5-axis CNC machining centers, polishing machines, and wire saws.

The technician’s mission is to ensure that Thibaut machines are installed correctly and optimized for each client's specific needs, providing in-depth training sessions at their facility. He/she will also be responsible for technical support during the warranty period, including diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs, as well as follow-up visits and phone support for clients.

Between client visits, the technician will participate in certain workshop tasks, complete service and expense reports, and contribute to the development of our electronic knowledge base.

This position requires frequent travel for periods ranging from a few days to two weeks, including overnight stays. The candidate must hold a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Install new machinery
• Train plant personnel on the new equipment
• Conduct occasional visits for maintenance, training, diagnostics, or repairs
• Perform workshop tasks
• Assist with machine loading and unloading
• Complete service reports and project-related documentation
• Contribute to the development of our knowledge base

Required Profile

• Education: Diploma in electromechanics, industrial maintenance, or equivalent training
• Experience: Experience in the stone/granite sector and/or manufacturing sector is an asset
• Driver’s license: Valid Class 5 license (vehicle provided)
